Welker has been awarded the delivery of three Composite Liquid Ethane/Propane Sampling Systems to end user Kinder Morgan. The supply consists of three fast loop sampling systems utilizing our inLoop™ sample pumps and multiple CP-2 constant pressure cylinders within an enclosure. The completely customized measurement systems include an integrated moisture analyzer for real time process data, Welker’s electrohydraulic system (EHUC) for powering the composite samplers, and a customized programmable logic controller (PLC) which controls the entire system and is complete with alarm and shut down functions.

The CP-2 Constant Pressure Container preserves sample integrity by collecting and maintaining your sample at pipeline pressure while being transported for analysis.
When air supply is unavailable, our crude oil samplers use dependable hydraulic power to actuate every sample grab.
The three systems will be installed at various metering stations. This new pipeline system will transport liquid ethane/propane mixes across Ohio and Michigan, ending at Winsor, Ontario. The pipeline system is set to have an initial capacity of 50,000 barrel per day (bpd) with the potential to be expanded to more than 75,000 barrels per day (bpd) in the future.
