Welker’s New Instrument Regulator Provides Better Control Options

WELKER > News > Welker’s New Instrument Regulator Provides Better Control Options

Choose From Multiple Flow Coefficients for Improved Sizing

Sugar Land, Texas – 26 April 2021 – Welker, Inc. today adds the ISD Instrument Regulator to its lineup of standalone regulators, increasing its instrumentation product offering for the second time this year. These compact spring-loaded regulators are designed to reduce a higher pressure filtered pneumatic supply to a lower outlet pressure safe for downstream instrumentation.

Instrument regulators maintain downstream pressure control in analytical, process, sampling, and injection systems to protect sensitive equipment from costly damage and interruptions to operation. Because the pressure requirements and capacity of pneumatic instruments can vary widely, Welker designed the ISD Instrument Regulator with three flow coefficient options and four pressure control ranges. A diaphragm-sensing regulator, the ISD has greater sensitivity, giving technicians more control when setting the outlet pressure. And with three port configurations, it is adaptable to a variety of applications and installations.

With an all 316/316L stainless-steel body and trim and inert sealing material, the ISD is suitable for use in general and corrosive environments. Optional seat and diaphragm materials are available if the ISD is to be used in an extreme temperature environment. The ISD has an easy outlet pressure adjustment and knurled spring housing to prevent hand slippage during maintenance.
