Purge trapped liquid from automatic samplers to protect sample accuracy between batches
The Welker Plug & Purge™ Automatic Purging System is designed for automatic liquid sampling systems that require reliable sampler purging in accordance with API 8.2 and ASTM D4177 recommendations. Engineered to safely and effectively purge trapped liquid product from the sampler to the sample container, Plug & Purge™ helps prevent sample carryover, cross-contamination, and water retention that can skew batch sampling results. With a Welker Purge Cylinder, remote valve actuator, regulator with safety relief valve, modular mounting options, and optional pressure transmitter for PLC monitoring, Plug & Purge™ supports accurate, repeatable crude oil and liquid hydrocarbon sampling system performance.
Automatic Liquid Sampling Systems
Sampler purging for crude oil and liquid hydrocarbon sampling systems that need to meet API 8.2 and ASTM D4177 recommendations.
Batch Sampling Applications
Helps prevent trapped samples from contaminating the next sample batch.
Water Injection Test Applications
Helps remove trapped water that could skew water injection test results.
Complies With:
Resources
Welker Purge Cylinder
Delivers the same volume of compressed inert gas each purge cycle to help prevent under-purging or over-purging.
Remote Valve Actuator
Supports off-site purging and monitoring for automated sampling operations.
Regulator With Safety Relief Valve
Helps maintain proper purge pressure while protecting the system from excessive pressure.
Modular Design With Two Mounting Options
Allows easy wall or pipe stand mounting and supports new systems or upgrades to existing sampling systems.
Optional Pressure Transmitter
Signals the PLC when the inert gas supply tank needs service, improving maintenance visibility.
