CleanFlow™ Instrument Grade Gas Conditioning Systems

Four engineered systems that turn pipeline gas into clean, dry, properly regulated gas for pneumatic instruments, actuated valves, and dry gas seal support — designed, manufactured, and tested at Welker since 1954.

Pipeline Gas In. Instrument-Grade Gas Out.

Pneumatic instruments and actuated equipment depend on a clean, dry, correctly regulated gas supply — but raw pipeline gas rarely qualifies. Welker's CleanFlow™ systems remove contaminants and liquids, step pressure down to a functional range, and, where required, condition gas temperature — protecting sensitive equipment from damage, clogs, and freeze-ups.

Industry-Recognized Welker Filter Dryer At the heart of every CleanFlow™ system — effectively removes the contaminants natural gas picks up as it travels through the pipeline.
Automatic or Manual Liquid Dump Welker ALD or MLD removes free liquids from the gas stream before they can damage downstream instrumentation.
Automatic Backup Filtration (CleanFlow™ Plus) A backup filter and regulator activate automatically when the primary filter or regulator needs maintenance — no service interruption.
Optional Catalytic Heater Heats pipeline gas to the desired temperature — preventing freeze-related service interruptions in cold climates.
Stainless or Carbon Steel Construction Stainless steel with a stainless regulator, or carbon steel with a brass regulator — engineered, built, and tested in Sugar Land, TX.
How It Works

Three Functions, One Compact System

Filter

A Welker Filter Dryer strips contaminants and free liquids from pipeline gas as it enters the system, protecting every downstream component and instrument.

Regulate

An integrated regulator steps pipeline pressure down to the functional range required by pneumatic instruments and actuated equipment.

Condition

An optional catalytic heater brings gas to the desired temperature, preventing freezing and the service interruptions it causes.

The CleanFlow™ Family

Basic, CleanFlow™, and CleanFlow™ Plus share the same filtration foundation and step up in capability — regulation, then automatic backup — to match your application's criticality.

Welker CleanFlow Basic Instrument Grade Gas System
01 Filtration & Liquid Removal

CleanFlow™ Basic

Contaminant & Liquid Removal

The essential entry point into the CleanFlow™ family. CleanFlow™ Basic pairs an active Welker Filter Dryer with a liquid dump — or stacks more than one active filter — to provide straightforward pipeline gas filtration for pneumatic instruments and pneumatically actuated equipment.

Key Features

  • Active Welker Filter Dryer, or more than one active filter
  • Automatic (ALD) or Manual (MLD) Liquid Dump
  • Bracket or stand mounting
  • No pressure regulation or heater — filtration only

02 Filtration + Regulation

CleanFlow™

Contaminant & Liquid Removal With Pressure Regulation

CleanFlow™ adds pressure regulation to the filtration foundation of Basic — one active Welker Filter Dryer paired with a regulator (or one or more filters with regulation) to bring pipeline gas down into your instruments' functional operating range.

Key Features

  • Regulator with active filter or filters
  • Optional Automatic or Manual Liquid Dump
  • Optional catalytic heater for cold climates
  • Bracket or stand mounting

03 Automatic Backup Filtration

CleanFlow™ Plus

Regulation With Automatic Backup Filtration

For applications where continuous supply is critical, CleanFlow™ Plus pairs a primary filter and regulator with a backup filter and regulator that activate automatically the moment the primary requires maintenance — eliminating service interruptions entirely.

Key Features

  • Primary & backup Welker Filter Dryers with regulation
  • Backup filter/regulator activates automatically on maintenance need
  • Optional Automatic or Manual Liquid Dump
  • Optional catalytic heater for cold climates

CleanFlow™ F-31 Instrument Grade Gas Conditioning System

The F-31 stands apart from the CleanFlow™ family: it's a high-capacity, high-pressure filtration system purpose-built to provide a continuous supply of clean, dry gas to critical pneumatic instruments and industrial equipment — most notably as seal gas for compressors running dry gas seals.

Single, dual, or quad filter service configurations built around 2 or 4 of Welker's high-capacity F-31 Filter Dryers accommodate high-pressure, high-flow gas streams with a long service interval and simplified 4-step cartridge changeout.

Where It's Used
  • Seal support systems for centrifugal and reciprocating compressors with dry gas seals
  • Upstream of pneumatically actuated emergency shutdown valves
  • Upstream of sensitive pneumatic instruments in remote locations
