Heated composite gas sampling for natural gas near the hydrocarbon dew point
The Welker HGS Heated Gas Sampler is designed for representative composite sampling of natural gas at or near the hydrocarbon dew point. Mounted directly to the pipeline inside an insulated, corrosion-resistant enclosure, the HGS maintains the sampler temperature above the hydrocarbon dew point to help prevent condensation, phase change, and sample distortion. With Welker’s Fresh Sample System™, a positive displacement piston sample pump, purge manifold, heater with thermostat, and optional timer/controller, the HGS supports accurate natural gas sampling proportional to flow or time in harsh environments and remote field locations.
Composite Sampling
Natural gas at or near the hydrocarbon dew point where heat is needed to help prevent condensation, phase change, and sample distortion
Custody Transfer
Billing-quality measurement at sales points
Complies With:
Resources
Welker Fresh Sample System™
Self-purging design helps ensure a fresh, representative natural gas sample with every sample cycle.
Positive Displacement Piston Sample Pump
Collects repeatable fixed-volume samples at line pressure for accurate composite gas sampling.
Inline Relief at Sample Outlet
Helps prevent collected samples from flowing back to the pipeline if pipeline pressure drops.
Purge Manifold With Pressure Gauge
Allows operators to purge and monitor the sampling process for dependable field operation.
Heater With Thermostat
Maintains internal temperature above the hydrocarbon dew point to help prevent condensation and phase change.
Insulated Corrosion-Resistant Enclosure With External Temperature Gauge
Protects sampling components in harsh or remote environments while allowing quick temperature visibility.
Optional Welker 6Tc Timer/Controller
Supports sampling proportional to flow or time without requiring an external power supply.
